Amaterasu, "the sunshine god"
Amaterasu, Amaterasu-õmikami or Õhirume-no-muchi-no-kami is a part of the Japanese myth cycle and also a major deity of the Shinto religion. She is the goddess of the sun, but also of the universe. The name Amaterasu derived from Amateru meaning "shining in heaven". The meaning of her whole name, Amaterasu-õmikami is "the great august kami (god) who shines in the heaven. The Emperor of Japan is said to be a direct descendant of Amaterasu.
Raiju, "the thunder beast"
Raiju is a legendary creature from Japanese mythology. Its body is composed of lightning and may be in shape of a cat, fox, weasel or wolf. The form of a white and blue wolf (or even a walf wrapped in lightning) is also common. It may also fly about a ball of lightning (in fact, the creature may be an attempt to explain the phenomenon of lightning). Its cry sounds like thunder.
Raiju is the companion of Raijin, the Shinto god of lightning. While the beast is generally calm and harmless, during thunderstorms it becomes agitated and leaps about in trees, fields, and even buildings ( trees that have been struck by lightning are said to have beeen scratched by Raiju's claws).
Another of Raiju's peculiar behaviors is sleepipng in human navels. This prompts Raiden to shoot lightning arrows at Raiju to wake the creature up, and thus harms the person in whose belly the demon is resting. Superstitious people therefore often sleep on their stomachs during bad weather, but other legends say tht Raiju will only hide in the navels of people who sleep outdoors.

Who's he? He's Chao
In case that you don't know this little guy here is Chao.
A Chao is a lifeform from the Sonic the Hedgehog video game series. Their role in the games are to be raised by the player in mini-games, similar to many virtual pets. Chao are somewhat complex: they respond to stimuli, have moods, require food, and can be loving or fearful. The word Chao is a pun on Chaos, a word commonly used in the Sonic series and which is why the word remains unchanged when plural. The chao are the good friends of Cream the Rabbit and Tikal the Echidna.
