Hachiko, known in Japanese as chuken Hachicõ (faithful dog Hachikõ) was an Akita dog born on a farm near the city of Õdate, rememberes for his remarkable loyalty to his owner, even many years after his owner's death.
In April 1934, a bronze statue in his likeness was erected at Shibuya Station and Hachikõ himself was present at its unveiling. After the war a new statue was replaced and a dedication ceremony occurred (April 8).

ResponderEliminarThey say that Professor Ueno had no children, he loved his dear Hachiko more than anything in the world, they say that none of Professor Ueno's previous dogs touched his heart the way Hachiko did, none of his previous dogs did the professor love as much as he loved Hachiko, is that true?
